We found this thing in our grandfather’s garage.
During a routine clean-out of our grandfather’s garage, we came across a strange object that turned an ordinary afternoon into something much more meaningful. It had been tucked away behind old boxes and partly covered by a worn, faded tarp, as if it had been sitting there quietly for years, waiting to be noticed again.
When we pulled it out into the light, dust rose into the air and thin cobwebs came apart around it. At first glance, it looked both simple and puzzling. It had a small wooden seat and four short, sturdy legs, which made it clear that it had been built to support someone sitting on it. But beyond that, its real purpose was not obvious.
The detail that confused us most was the curved metal piece fixed to the front. It was lined with sharp-looking teeth and almost resembled a small saw, yet it did not match any familiar tool from a modern workshop or household. It seemed too carefully designed to be random, but too unusual to identify right away.
At first, everyone had a different theory. Some thought it might be connected to carpentry, while others guessed it was part of some old mechanical device. The more we looked at it, the more mysterious it seemed. It was clearly functional, but its purpose belonged to a world none of us immediately recognized.
